Formulas used in the calculators
Comparison vehicle emissions = distance × fuel consumption ÷ 100 × fuel emission factor
EV electricity emissions = metered electricity × electricity emission factor
Difference = comparison vehicle emissions − EV electricity emissions
Estimated containers replaced = people × containers replaced per person per day × actual days of use
What the figures cover
This compares travel energy use over the same period, using emission factors with compatible boundaries. It excludes vehicle and battery production, infrastructure and the full life cycle. A negative difference means higher emissions than the comparison vehicle under the selected assumptions.
This comparison is not a company carbon footprint, a carbon credit or a certification of carbon neutrality.
Why can’t the number of ISO 14001 partners be converted into carbon savings?
ISO 14001 is an environmental management system standard. Certification alone does not quantify carbon reductions from work carried out with TIIS. Before publishing a partner’s status, we must check the current certificate and its relevant scope.
How are cumulative totals updated?
Only reviewed and approved records are included, with their dates, scope and sources. Corrections trigger a recalculation, not an extra addition. Totals do not increase with page views or the clock, and days without records are not counted as completed activities.

SCEE and classroom development
Read the SCEE project story ↗SCEE — Smart Classroom Equity Excellence connects school readiness, active learning and teacher development. The programme website, reviewed on 25 September 2026, lists summary results for four schools in 2025 and thirteen participating schools in 2026. These are dataset counts, not a statement that every listed school is certified.
Assessment that supports improvement
Read school context, criteria, disclosed evidence and edition status separately. Participation in progress is not a final assessment result. The presence of classroom equipment alone cannot establish improved learning outcomes.
The roles of TIIS and its network
The SCEE website identifies TECH Infinity Education as programme operator and TIIS as co-organiser for technology and information systems. Assessment, result approval and individual school activities follow the responsibilities identified by the programme. Equipment support does not establish certification authority or independent assessment.
Social initiatives with traceable evidence
A school-support story should identify the recipient, date, company role, delivered items and publishable evidence. Distinguish delivery from actual use, then follow whether teachers and learners can access and use the resource. Planned activity should not be presented as completed work.
Responsible resource use and sustainability
Consider service life, maintenance, energy use and end-of-life handling alongside user benefit. Environmental ambitions or standards-readiness work are not certification. Quantified carbon-reduction claims require a defined scope, calculation method and supporting evidence.
